Intro to Mysore Workshop
Sunday, September 14, 12:30-2:30pm at One Yoga
This workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning more about a traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga practice, especially those who have recently begun and want to go deeper, and those who have not yet begun.
Topics we will cover:
-why the method of Ashtanga Yoga works so well: individual instruction within a group setting
-breath, bandhas, dristi: what they are and how to use them effectively
-the opening and closing chants: why we chant them and what they mean
-days OFF from practice: why they are as important as the days ON
-Surya Namaskara: breaking down the Sun Salutations as the core movements that take you through the entire practice
-bring any questions you have!
