Authorized and certified Ashtanga teachers from around the world are gathering in Mysore right now for a special two-month training with Sharath. I wish I could be there, but I’m also really excited about what’s happening here in Minnesota. Two months in and our Mysore program is continuing to grow. There’s a genuine enthusiasm for practice that’s been building for some time here, and it’s heartwarming to see so many faces so often at the studio. Having previously taught only three classes a week at One Yoga, I’m also really jazzed to be able to say “See you tomorrow!” with such regularity. It’s become my home away from home. I hope that many of you feel at home there as well. And it doesn’t hurt that I have a little avocado-sized seventeen-week old Ashtangi kickin’ it inside my body. The urge to stay home and nest is very strong right now. 🙂

And while learning in person is obviously superior to learning through the interwebz, I do hope that some of the teachers who are currently arriving in Mysore will do a little blogging about their experience.
